How It All Began

Nick got his start in the electrical salvage business in the early 2000s. Back then, all he had was his truck and trailer. He would hit the road going to demo sites, small businesses and electrical supply houses buying lots of electrical equipment. At first, Nick could only afford to flip these lots to get enough capital for the next opportunity. Over time, he was able to start stocking his own shelves with highly desirable equipment and spread the word with everyone he’d been buying from that we was now able to sell to them as well when needed. The network of contacts from being on the road continued to grow and mature and eventually a permanent warehouse was needed to store surplus inventory for resale.

Being just a guy on the road hustling, Nick said yes to every opportunity that was put in front of him. Before he knew it, he was not only buying the electrical equipment, but he was removing that equipment himself and establishing a network of contractors to do work for and with. That willingness to try anything is how he learned to dismantle substation transformers. These new opportunities lead Nick into scrap metal recycling and eventually a new relationship with his now partner Chad.

Chad worked in retail real estate leasing and development directly out of college for a few years before joining his family’s metal recycling business in 2006. For 11 years, Chad worked alongside his grandfather, dad, uncle and cousins helping grow the business into the largest family owned scrap yard in the United States. Working in every part of the business over the 11 years, Chad has extensive relationships with many direct consumers and other scrap yards as well as a background in logistics and trucking. Nick and Chad got together late in 2017 to combine their experiences and launch Worldwide Electric Services to provide a cradle-to-grave experience for their clients centered around electrical equipment and salvage.

With their diverse and very different backgrounds complimenting each other perfectly, they can provide every type of customer with the service and knowledge required to accomplish any project. They also have had the benefit of seeing every type of deal structure and strive to provide a mutually beneficial partnership for all their clients.
